The owner Michael stopped by to greet us and check in on our experience. Lots of smiling faces at the tables around us. Truly one of the , if not the best, restaurants we've ever dined at. Michael Cherry if I could give you 100 stars I would! Hands down the best restaurant I have been to in a long time. Made reservations here and very glad I did! We arrived at the restaurant and was greeted and made our way to our table. Alex took our drink order my husband ordered the whiskey sour and I ordered the margarita. We ordered the baked Brie and avocado bruschetta bread for appetizers. For dinner my husband ordered the Rib Eye steak and I ordered the lamb. OMG I have never had lamb this amazing and I mean melt in your mouth. My husband loved his steak. Way to go to the Chef and hands down awesome! Now our waiter Alex I can go on and on he has the most amazing personality he was very attentive, and truly loves what he does he made our night! Thank you so much Alex for making our Anniversary night truly amazing. Michael all I can say is there is no competition when it comes to other restaurants trust me hands down your restaurant out shines all of them! Myself, my wife and kids used to live in Toronto and there are so many great italian restaurants and fine dinning establishments, but this restaurant would give any of the fine dinning in Toronto a run for their money... and probably win! We came to the restaurant because of it's proximity to our hotel that we were staying at for a conference. I didn't know anything about it and we didn’t have reservations (fortunately it was 4pm on a Thursday). Upon entering both myself and my wife gasped at the beauty of the decor. It reminds me a bit of Harbour 60, but more inviting and less expensive. The chandeliers are beautiful, the bar is magical, the seating is comforting, and best of all the staff are old school rock stars of service, something that has been dissappearing from the world as of late. I felt uncomfortable at first, because I was not quite dressed for this sort of restaurant and also had my young children in tow. Anyone that has kids knows what I mean - toddlers and fine dinning tend to not mix well. But the staff were extremely accommodating and put us right at ease. We had the escargot and the mussles to start which were fabulous and, I must point out, go great with the homemade bread that they offer. Amazing! For our main course I had the Wagyu A5 tenderloin which was absolutely fantastic and my wife had the melt-in-your-mouth pork belly with cinamon apples in a port reduction... perfection! For desert we had the tiramisu gelato which was a perfect end to a perfect meal. I would also like to state their cocktails are expertly crafted and their wine list will impress you. I would travel back to Burlington for the express reason of just visiting this restaurant... it's that good! Recommended the Short Rib off the A la Carte menu for me and it was a melt in your mouth winner. Perfect portion, price was in line with setting and quality of my meal. My wife had the Chicken Supreme and declared it a winner also. Met Michael (owner) on the way out as he was thanking guests as they left and checking on their visit. A variety of table options from classy lounge, where we sat, to small private booths, open restaurant style and private rooms for groups. Elegant dining experience but relaxed atmosphere, no jacket required but recommended in my book. Two entrees, shared a salad, shared desert. Every time I go there we are greeted by the owner and friendly staff. The ambiance is great. Rich colored wood, perfect lighting and the tables are spaced well apart. The food is excellent. I've ordered steak, sea bass, mussels... the bread they serve is delicious. From the planning and reservation stage - Maya was extremely helpful and ensured all requests were met! During the dinner, our main waiter and the entire staff provided amazing service, were prompt and we have zero complaints about the service. They were courteous, kind, gracious and checked in frequently to make sure all guests were happy. For the food…. They did not disappoint. Although it was a set menu due to party size - the restaurant was open to accommodating different diet restrictions and every single option on the menu was well prepared and presentation was immaculate. I highly recommend the Pan Fried Crab Cake appetizer, the Filet Mignon and the oven roasted chicken (the chicken was well seasoned and juicy). All of my guests enjoyed their meals and their time at this restaurant. This restaurant lived up to the high reviews and ratings and I couldn’t be happier with how the evening went, thanks to the entire Cherry House Team.
